How old does my child need to be to play baseball?
Your child must be 4 years old by August 2020 to qualify for the 2020 spring season.
Where are the fields located?
Practices and games are held at 3622 Contempo Drive, Sacramento, CA 95826.
Can my child play if we live outside of the boundaries?
Yes! If your child attends school within our league boundaries, they are eligible to play. You will need to complete a school verification form and signed by your school administrator. Please click on the forms tab to download a copy of the school verification form.
What equipment does my child need?
The league provides each team with the use of balls, bats and helmets. You will need to purchase a glove for your child. It is optional to purchase your own helmet and bat. ***Please note that as of January 1, 2018, Little League International will change bat regulations. What kind of uniform does my child need?
The league provides a shirt and hat. You will need to purchase baseball pants, socks and belt. The colors will be determined by your team/coach and is recommended to purchase after your coach lets you know.
What is the time commitment?
It varies by division level. T-ball/farm is typically 4-6 hours a week. Minors and up is typically 6-10 hours a week.
When will I find out who my child’s coach is?
Teams are announced early February.
When do practices/games start?
Practices start mid February and games begin mid March.
How often are practices/games?
It varies by division level. T-ball/Farm is typically 2 week-night practices, 1 week-night game, and 1 Saturday game. Minors and up is typically 2-3 practices, 1 week-night game and 1 Saturday game.
How do I volunteer?
There is a link on our website www.rosemontlittleleague.com to sign up for snack bar shifts, field days and other events. You can also volunteer at the time of registration to be a coach, assistant coach or team parent which counts toward volunteer hours.
